Teachers' Linguistic Competence, Teaching Skills and Students' Linguistic Competence: Bases for a Training Design

This study sought to determine the correlation between teachers’ linguistic competence and students’ as well teaching skills competence. The researcher made use of descriptive relationship among variables. Fishbowl sampling was utilized public high schools for study, multistage used student respondents using Raosoft sample size calculator wherein out 1,500 students, 306 students were picked. For teacher respondents, total population ten (10) grade eight English teachers coming from four select comprised group respondents. findings revealed that there is a significant when lesson management, assessment, overall correlated with competence; furthermore, in terms competence, grammar, textual knowledge, show strong multiple regression analysis also classroom climate, assessment predict With consistency results on grammar correlates predictors training design review based communicative language approaches embedded authentic proposed address problem
